Patonga to Refuge Bay

Patonga Beach Boat Ramp
Paddle Details
DateSun 27 Jun 2021
Start Time7:30 am
Approx. Duration7 hours

This has alwawys been a favourite paddle for this group. It is proving elusive on this attempt.  This is the third programming of this trip with the previous two cancelled due to weather.

Refuge Bay is the base from which the Z Force group trained for their kayak attack on Singapore Harbour.  A memorial to the attack and success of this group is maintained at Point Clare

Additional to the historical value, this location is a beautiful part of Australia.  We usually find clear waters and multiple sightings of fish life.

Two crossings of the Hawkesbury River are required.  On this occasion we have reversed the course direction to make the homeward leg a little easier.

This paddle is about 17km total.

BOOK YOUR SPOT IN THIS PADDLE

All are welcome, though we do have limited spaces, so bookings are essential. It's free to join us, plus kayak hire available at cost.
