This paddle is based on a Brisbane Water high tide about 8.30 am.  Not just a timely tide, but a healthy 1M+.  So now we search for those places otherwise difficult to reach.

Launch from Illoura Reserve, Davistown.  Head to southern shore and down to Cockle Bay.  We should be fine to enter the bay this time.

We will then track North east to the Bensville area.  Continue up this shore until we find the creek that leads up to the Cockle Bay House.  We will paddle up the creek as far as the house.  This is an interesting creek, usually providing something of interest to see

Returning out of the creek we will continue following the coast around to the old orphanage wharf.  Having looked around, we will get back into the Cockle Channel for a return to Illoura Reserve.
