LEVEL  2 PADDLE: You should be accredited to ‘Paddle Australia Basic Skills’ or have an equivalent level of experience.

DISTANCE: 11km approximately.

SUITABLE CRAFT: Level 2 paddles are deigned to be suitable by bot sit-on -top and sit-in kayaks with a minimum length of 3.6 Metres.

WEATHER Southerly winds 10km/h increasing to 30 km/hr about 1100

TIDES: Runout tide from 0.8m at 0800 to 0.6m at 10.00

FACILITATOR: Colin North

This is a new paddle on our itinary.  Starting from Deerubbun Reserve we will track direct for Rocky Ponds.  We will have a runout tide for both the outgoing leg and return leg under the railway bridge.  The flow rates should be readily manageable.

If the wind picks up earlier than expected we will track to the lee of the southern bank of the river.
